If you are looking to enrich your career with a leader in the field of concrete construction, Concrete Frame Associates has an immediate need for a skilled Project Coordinator to work out of our office in Aurora Colorado supporting a fast-paced construction environment independently driving exceptional service and results for major commercial concrete projects.

The successful candidate will contribute to the process by assisting in the planning, design and construction process. Using parameters set by architectural and structural plans, the candidate would support project personnel in the erection of concrete forming and reinforcement systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepares concrete structure and formwork drawings for assigned projects incorporating information from project drawings, bulletins, sketches, RFI responses and shop drawings provided by other trades and coordinates drawing submittals with customers.
  • Assists in shop drawing quality checks and examination, using a high degree of scrutiny.
  • Reviews and analyzes the project documents identifying drawing and specification conflict, insufficient information, and missing dimensions, while contributing ideas to enhance project productivity and cost efficiency.
  • Review, oversee submittal process for key vendors and suppliers to include document control and submittal returns.
  • Prepares quantity takeoffs and estimates as required.
  • Track project status to ensure timelines and budget milestones are met.
  • Assists in the evaluation and coordination of material requirements with field supervisors to ensure availability and efficient utilization of our equipment on assigned projects. Coordination to include planning, ordering, inventory control and transportation of materials and equipment.
  • Attends project meetings to resolve technical coordination issues and initiate and track RFIs.
  • Reviews new bulletins and change orders to identify and quantify changes and incorporate changes into Concrete Frame Associate's project drawings.
  • Notifies project management of changes that might impact material and labor costs.
  • Ensures duplication and delivery of up-to-date drawings and instructions to the job site
  • Records, updates and maintains RFI, Product Submittal, and drawing logs.
  • Ensures efficient inventory control and storage of shop drawings and contract documents.
  • Contributes to the operations safety goals by identifying and communicating potential hazards during the detailing stage.
  • Proactively works to enhance job-related skills and acquire overall knowledge of company forming and framing systems as well as reinforcing / PT installation through study, training and hands-on participation in project coordination activities.
  • Performs special projects and completes all other duties as assigned or requested for the general support of the organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Completed coursework in computer-aided design or an equivalent combination of training and work experience.
  • Two years of experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided design utilizing AutoCAD and/or BIM software.
  • Knowledge of construction formwork systems, take-offs and estimating processes obtained from education or industry experience.
  • Strong mathematical and visualization skills.
  • Advanced PC skills, specifically in a Windows environment, including collecting and analyzing data in Excel, and creating documents and preparing correspondence in Outlook, and Word.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and tasks, with an emphasis on thoroughness, attention to detail, and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with all levels of personnel.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Commercial concrete construction experience, especially in forming/shoring.
  • BIM experience utilizing Autodesk Design Suite software.

CFA offers a competitive benefit package that includes medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, along with a generous 401k plan. Salary range for the position is $47,748 - $56,177 based on experience.
