Basic Job Functions:
The Quality Assurance Supervisor is responsible for the overall development of the QA Team to include Safety, Environmental Compliance, Quality, and Customer Satisfaction. The QA Supervisor is responsible for motivating the QA team, defining expectations, and making sure that the expectations are met. The QA Supervisor will lead the QA team in serving as a resource to the division and will facilitate collaboration throughout the entire division to ensure that the best interests of Nucor are being met. The QA Supervisor will also participate in long term strategic planning for the department and collaborate with the inside and outside sales team members.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Technical degree or equivalent experience
• Experience and understanding of steelmaking practices and processes
Preferred Qualifications:
• Prior leadership experience demonstrated
• Professional customer focus with ability to grow relationships
