Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities (*Indicates an Essential Function)

*Analyzes product documentation, both written and through database tools, to determine compliance to customer specifications via multiple support tools.

*Tracks and details product history through accurate record keeping techniques.

*Performs statistical process evaluations based upon department requests.

*Interfaces with manufacturing, management and customer representatives professionally and respectfully.

*Follows verbal and written instruction, accepts increased responsibility and is accountable for his/her actions.

*Audits the work of others in a professional manner.

*Possesses a quality conscious awareness and assists in updating department documentation.

*Follows safety guidelines (PPE, etc.) and demonstrates safe work practices.

*Maintains a good safety record, has a working knowledge of the behavioral based safety initiatives and accepts the responsibility to communicate unsafe situations.

*Adheres to the safety and quality standards (goals and metrics) of the organization while working within a team environment.

*While interacting with customers and visitors, represents the Company in a positive manner.

Promotes job and process improvement as it relates to the department (through 5S as well as other improvement initiatives).

Responds to multiple production assignments in a timely and efficient manner.

Meets required training criteria, such as IPC-610 when requested.

Overtime may be required, based on business need; regular attendance required.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency required.

One or more years' experience as a Quality Specialist 3

Math skills to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.

Ability to perform statistical analysis and functions.

Possess the mathematical skills required to work with conversion factors, formulas and other related functions.

Demonstrated leadership skills and positive communication style, along with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Efficiently use precision measuring and evaluation equipment, including but not limited to tape measures, calipers, and micrometers.

Must be able to pass a written, job related test.

Proficient computer skills, including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Proficient verbal and written skills which allow for accurate explanations of all situations you are responsible to manage.

Must have the flexibility to respond to multiple assignments.

Ability to work any shift, including nights and weekends.

Ability to speak, read and write English with technical proficiency.

Ability to learn database tools and become productive within prescribed period.

Possess the ability to react to changes of responsibility throughout the day.

Physical Demands

Ability to pass a "Fit for Duty" physical exam. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to:

Wear the proper personal protective equipment for each task, including, but not limited to, safety boots, safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, hard hat, dust mask, etc.

Regularly lift and/or move 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 40 pounds.

Ability to work within areas of extreme height, as well as climb in tanks, pans and aboard a ship using standard provided access points.

Ability to reach with hands and arms and use hands to finger, or handle objects, tools and controls.

Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs regularly.

Ability to bend, twist, squat, stoop, kneel or crouch frequently.

Ability to talk and/or hear frequently.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Ability to work both indoors and outdoors regularly in all elements.
