The Quality Technician I provide inspection, analysis, and assistance to the site quality team in support of quality goals. Depending on the organizational needs at the time, the Quality Technician I may report directly to the roles of Quality Manager or Inspection Supervisor and may receive indirect leadership/supervision from the role of Section Leader.

You will have the opportunity to:

  • Involved in leading/completing testing activities including Work in Process (WIP) and final inspection processes (e.g., dimensional testing, Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) including Dye Penetrant Testing) and record keeping.
  • Prepares reports as needed for monitored products and/or customers with assistance from other staff as required
  • Completion of First Article Inspections (FAI) and associated interactions with customers and their IT portals for management of quality data.
  • Assistance with the completion of source inspections as needed to ensure compliance with customer requirements.
  • Support QMS processes as needed (e.g., calibration, MRR, DMR, RMA, etc.).

REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school completion required,
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a technical or inspection role preferred (e.g., quality, engineering).
  • Basic understanding of blueprint reading and use of basic hand tools (micrometers, indicators, etc.) required.
  • ASQ certification (Certified Quality Technician or similar), experience and knowledge of calibration, metrology, and quality system auditing, or additional educational degree(s) preferred.
  • Must be able to work a rotating shift

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).

The candidate selected will have to qualify as either a U.S. citizen, a U.S. National, a lawful permanent resident of the U.S., a Person Admitted into the U.S. as an Asylee or Refugee., a National of a country that is not prohibited from having access to U.S. controlled technology (via a letter of assurance), or a Person to be approved for an export license by the governing agency whose technology comes under its jurisdiction.
