RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a QA Specialist in Middleton, WI.Position Summary:This role will play a crucial part in the support of our E-Commerce platform and custom-built web applications. In this role, you will work closely with the Web Development team to establish a strong test framework with a focus on both manual and automated testing. The candidate will be primarily responsible for testing and monitoring websites and web applications on multiple browsers, desktops, laptops, and mobile devices by applying quality-assurance methods.Essential Job Functions:- Shape the overall QA process through application of best practices and new approaches to testing workflow
- Work collaboratively with the developing team to correct errors and participate in testing for product releases
- Test new and existing features and report errors and failures
- Work closely with the web development team to develop effective strategies, discuss requirements, action test plans and documentation
- Design and maintain automated test scripts covering fundamental front and backend functions in the application
- Conceptualize and implement new manual test cases
- Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
- Review and analyze system specifications
- Report and document technical issues
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects
- Report bugs and errors to development teams
- Help troubleshoot issues
- Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing
- Ensure each system, feature, and fix meets design requirements & end-user expectations
- Focus on an overall positive customer experience
- Other duties as required
REQUIREMENTS:
- BS degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum three years of experience working directly with HTML, JavaScript, CSS, PHP, and MySQL
- Experience in QA methodology
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role
- Experience with web and database technologies such as MySQL, PHP, JavaScript, HTML and CSS
- Understanding of production and staging environments
- Working knowledge of QA methodology, testing techniques and approaches relating to desktop and web applications
- Basic knowledge of network, application, and data security best practices
- Proven expertise in test documentation, design, and test development that meets business requirements and expectations
- Detail-oriented, possess programming skills, have a commitment to accuracy and ensure that systems operate and comply with the requirements and regulations set out by developers
- Familiarity with Gitlab
- Familiarity with LambdaTest
- Familiarity with PCI Compliance
- Familiarity with ADA Compliance
- Familiarity with PHPUnit testing
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
