Minimum Qualifications:

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere Pro) and HTML experience preferred
    Complete knowledge of social media networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, IGTV, Snapchat, YouTube, blogging and other up and coming platforms
  • Experience or willing to learn photography and videography skills for capturing strong images for marketing content
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to speak articulately and with enthusiasm in interviews and other media and community interactions as a confident and positive representative of the Company as needed
  • Provides guest service according to Cedar Fair's standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions and giving directions
  • Works well without constant direction or supervision
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Must be creative and innovative to assist with development of new marketing content
  • Meets Cedar Fair's attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Fair's attendance policies
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
  • Ability to speak, write, read and understand English at a level sufficient to take guest orders; conduct a variety of sales transactions; complete a variety of simple forms; respond to guest special requests; and answer specific questions regarding products or merchandise.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
  • Extremely confident and proficient in computer skills and basic computer programs.
  • Ability to work nights, weekends and holiday periods to meet business needs.
  • Ability to pass a mandatory (or random) drug test, per Company policy, unless prohibited by state or provincial law.
  • Ability to pass a background check, if 18 years of age or older, which may include, but is not limited to, credit, criminal, DMV, previous employment, education and personal references, per Company policy, unless prohibited by federal, state, or provincial law.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Assists with all aspects of planning, coordinating and executing events, drafting press relases, and providing excellent services. Communications leadership in writing and proof reading press releases as well as creating and executing media promotions and in park promotions. Assists with all other aspects of Public Relations, Promotions, in Park activations. Performs related supervisory and professional work as required.  
  • Assists with writing, drafting and proof reading all press releases and media communications
  • Assists in creation and executes media promotions for radio, television, and third party influencers. Coordinates planned messaging with owned, earned and shared media to align with planned content calendars.
  • Assists in social media monitoring and responding
  • Serves as an escort for all working media on assisgnment and during park events
  • Maintains project timelines, carefully proofreads all materials for accuracy, clarity and consistency.
  • Responsible for taking photographs at park events and assists in video production for park social media and digital marketing channels.
