Job Description

Cumulus Media | Indianapolis is searching for an experienced Promotions Director. The Promotions Director will be responsible for the overall brand marketing strategy and day-to-day promotions director duties for three radio stations. The Promotions Director will work cross departmentally to plan and execute marketing and promotional programs designed to drive ratings and revenue through listener-focused promotions and client-centric sales campaigns.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversees the ideation and creation of revenue generating programs and custom solutions for our clients to drive revenue.
• Oversees proper execution of station events, promotional project management, time lines and promo liner inventory.
• Identifies, recruits, coaches and leads department to stay on top of all projects.
• Works directly with Programming and Sales to find marketing and revenue generating opportunities for each station.
• Works directly with local media and community organizations to create mutually beneficial campaign.
• Oversees creation of marketing campaigns including digital, print, TV, direct mail.
• Coordinates and attends client meetings with sellers and sales managers as needed to plan events and necessary logistics.
• Collaborates with multiple departments to create, manage and execute on-site remotes, events, van hits and other street team activities from start to finish.
• Prepares rules, waivers, and release forms for all contesting on air, via digital, across social media and at on-site events.
• Supervises prize inventory and manages contesting on-air, online and on-site at events.
• May coordinate and oversee on-site appearances, remotes and events.
• May be responsible for all winner prize fulfillment and release forms.
• Must be available evenings and weekends
• Support Sales Department with proposal creation, information gathering and other sales related materials.
• Attend client meetings as needed.
• Drives promotional vehicles.
• Special projects as assigned.

Job Requirements
Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of successful promotions/marketing experience.
• Ability to multi-task and the discipline to focus on what is the highest and best use of your time.
• High work standards and degree of attention to detail.
• Creative and strategic decision maker and problem solver.
• Project management from start to finish; assumes responsibility & accountability for assignments and tasks.
• Actively listens; clearly and effectively conveys information; demonstrates effective business writing skills; shows excellent grasp of grammar.
• Exhibits good interpersonal skills; collaborates with others; maintains composure when faced with difficult situations and personalities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with air staff, departments and clients.
• Skilled creative copy-writer.
• Valid driver's license required.
