Purpose

As a Project Controls Graduate, you will participate in a 2-year Rotational Program which will provide you a broad view of the offshore wind business with particular focus on an offshore wind project, giving you the opportunity to advance your career at Avangrid Renewables. In the program, you will participate in job rotations in the various Project Controls disciplines -Planning, Cost Control, Risk Management and Value Engineering, with additional opportunities to expand your knowledge and skills in one of the other Offshore Wind departments.

Responsibilities

In the 2-year rotational program, the Project Controls Graduate will rotate through various disciplines in areas within an offshore wind project, such as:.

Planning: developing schedule of an offshore wind project including analysing contractor's program compatibility and optimized strategy.

Cost Control: establishing project budget, monitoring cost and analysing performance on Pre-FID work packages, and assist in developing and maintaining budgets and cost reports.

Risk Management: project risk identification and mitigation strategies.

Value Engineering: Consolidation of estimates of Project CAPEX and other business model inputs as well as performing cost/benefit analysis for design and commercial options of the project.

Other Department Experience: Graduate will be offered the opportunity to rotate in one of Offshore Wind's business areas.

Skills and Requirements

  • Previous internship / professional experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering preferably (any discipline), Construction Management, Finance, or Accounting
  • Initiative and autonomy, to propose solutions and progress without detailed instructions.
  • Ability to work with global team members and cultures.
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.
  • Certifications - PMI CAPM or working towards certification preferred
  • Microsoft Office (Excel in particular, Word, PPT,); Business Intelligence Analytics software such as Power BI.
