CobbFendley is seeking a Project Managerin our Fort Worth, Texasoffice.
Thesuccessfulcandidatesmostimportantqualificationsinclude:
  • Must have a minimum of 1-3 years' experience with civil engineering and an interest inutility coordination/engineering.
  • HighSchoolDiplomaorGEDrequired.
  • ExperiencewithTxDOTROWandUtilitypolicies/procedures.
  • ProficientinExcel,Word, andPDF;experiencewithSmartSheets,aplus.
  • Abilitytoreadandinterpretapplicableplans,schematics,blueprints,andmaps.
  • StrongCommunicationandorganizationalskillsandattentiontodetail.
  • ExperienceintheCentralTexasarea,aplus.

Essential Functions:
  • ProvidesUtilityCoordinationandOversightservicesforprojectstoCobbFendleyclients.
  • Schedules and attends Utility Meetings, Public Utility Meetings, One-to-One UtilityMeetings,TxDOT/Municipality coordinationmeetings.
  • PreparesUtilityAgreementAssemblypackages.
  • Reviews plans and estimates to evaluate compliance with guidelines, rules, and regulations.
  • Assistswithdeterminingeligibilityandbettermentratios.
  • Prepares documents required by 23 CFR Section 645.
  • Conducts meetings with individual utility companies and on-site field visits, working with major utility companies such as AT&T, Verizon, Austin Energy, PEC, Atmos, Texas Gas Service, Spectrum, Lumen, Austin Water Utility, Atmos, Oncor Electric Delivery, Spectrum, CenturyLink, various pipeline companies, as well as state agencies and municipalities.
  • Reviews and/or processes utility estimates and/or budgets.
  • Assist in training CobbFendley staff on all aspects of TxDOT’s Utility CooperativeManagementProcess.
  • Familiarity with the TxDOT ROW Utility Manual and Texas Administrative Code UtilityAccommodation Rules, knowledge of principles of utility coordination and associatedterminology.
  • Interfaces with clients to ensure excellent service and explores opportunities foradditionalassignments.
  • TraveltoCobbFendleyofficesandprojectlocationsasneeded.
  • Travel to existing and potential clients’ offices throughout CobbFendley market area as needed.
  • Represent CobbFendley at client meetings and performing client coordination.
  • Thisisanon-supervisoryposition;however,mayassign,review, andmonitortheworkofteammembers.
  • Apply technical expertise and be able to work with a project team on conventional andunconventionalprojects.
  • Performindependentresearchanddelegatechangingpriorities.
  • Workinacollaborativeteam environmentandperformselfQA/QCofwork.

Physical Requirements:

Sittingand/orstandingforextendedperiodsoftime.

Mobilitywithintheofficeincludingmovementbetweenfloorsandworkstations.Repeatedmotions(e.g.,typing,reaching,bending, lifting, andcarrying).

Communication with other employees and clients.
EnvironmentalFactors:

Most work is performed in a professional office environment. Some trips to client offices and jobsitesforobservationswill berequired.

Job site observations factors could include: walking and climbing on uneven surfaces, exposureto outdoor environments and extreme weather (heat and freezing temperatures), noiseexposure, driving for extended periods of time, exposure to allergens (e.g., pollen, dust, cedar,sumac, poison ivy), exposure to construction and traffic work zones, possible hand and powertooluse, andextendedperiods ofPersonalProtective Equipmentuse.

Extended use of electronic devices (e.g., computers, printers, copiers, scanners, plotters, andtelephones).

Use of cutting tools and equipment (e.g., plotting equipment, rotary paper cutter).
Expectedhoursofwork:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:30PM.

Some travel may be required.

The Utility Coordinator will work both independently and with a team on multiple projects across Central Texas.
