Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Tubular Products Group IT seeks candidates for the position of Project Manager. The Project Manager (PM) will promote safety as our #1 value. The PM will build strong relationships leveraging Nucor's collective resources to best take care of our customers. The PM is responsible for leading simultaneous project efforts supporting the creation and enhancements of world-class business solutions used across multiple Nucor Tubular Products divisions. Leading project efforts requires coordination and integration with corporate, divisional teams, and external vendors. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Collaborating across teams both internal and external to implement and manage all Project Management activities including planning projects, creating timelines, budget tracking, organizing efforts across teams, executing project phases, tracking and effectively addressing risks and issues, and conducting regular update meetings.
• Effectively communicating across multiple teams to support project initiatives
• Monitoring project progress and ensuring key milestones are reached and project is delivered on time

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5 years or more experience in project implementations
• Strong understanding and involvement of project methodology
• Ability to work or travel on an 'as needed' basis, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree or professional certifications in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or Engineering field
• Project Management Professional certification and/or Project Management training
• Prior leadership experience and enterprise-level understanding of project management
• Steel industry and manufacturing practices and processes experience
• Experience with building project plans using project management software
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and/or willingness to learn Microsoft Dynamics analyst role in future.
