The System Implementation Project Manager is responsible for the planning, execution, monitoring and closing of Development and Alumni Relation's system implementation project. While this position is not a technical position, experience and knowledge managing system implementation projects will be important. The System Implementation Project Manager will be the primary project team member responsible for coordinating all aspects of the project that will ensure its success. This will be a 2 year term position aligned with the implementation project timeline. The Lehigh community takes seriously our commitment to antiracism and The Principles of our Equitable Community.
1. Serve as the primary project team member responsible for communication with and engagement of all individuals, internal and external, related to the project
*With the Project Sponsor and Project Lead, define and assemble a project team from University staff, vendors and necessary third parties
*Coordinate University staff, vendors and necessary third parties ensuring resource availability and allocation
*With the Project Sponsor and Project Lead, identify and involve project stakeholders and manage their expectations
*Establish rapport with collaborating departments and teams in order to successfully partner and achieve project goals
2. Manage the project schedule, including issues and changes that may arise
*Develop and communicate a project schedule which includes defining and sequencing project activities/milestones, identifying dependencies, estimating project activity duration and resources and developing a project timeline
*Ensure that tasks and issues assigned to project team members are completed in accordance with the project schedule and goals
*Coordinate and track the collection of requirements and decisions through stakeholder input, ideas and feedback
*Coordinate and track the creation of testing plans and the review of test results
*Obtain signoffs from the project team and stakeholders at key milestones
*Proactively identify and escalate project issues, providing recommendations for resolution
*Effectively manage change, involving the appropriate decision makers, updating the project schedule and communicating the consequences of the change to the project team and stakeholders
3. Track and report on the health of the project
*Meet regularly with the Project Lead, Project Sponsor and Project Steering Committee to clearly and candidly communicate project status, progress toward milestones and insight into overall project health
*Track project expenses, including vendor invoices and collaborate with the Executive Director, Development and Alumni Relations Operations to ensure expenses are within budget and invoices are paid
*Analyze and manage risk throughout the project
4. Close the system implementation project
*Complete post implementation review to evaluate project success
*Complete lessons learned and present findings to project participants and stakeholders
*Assemble and archive project documents
