Job Overview:

In this position you will be a member of a critical function within the Project and Portfolio Management team supporting people, process and Information Technology in alignment to business goals. You will be performing duties in direct support of project, program, and portfolio management including data entry, documentation, analysis, reporting and developing recommendations. You will be a member of a highly-collaborative and fast-paced team that is intensely focused on using IT to enable the Scotts Miracle-Gro business to grow and deliver ever-improving products and services to our customers.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Assist team members in duties for Project, Program, and Portfolio Management
  
• Assist team members in the support of tools that gather data and documentation that directly contribute to the management of Information Technology initiatives
  
• Provide assistance in analysis, design, and development of reports that will be published within IT
  
• Learn how project management as a discipline impacts the IT organization and provides value to the company
  

Minimum Qualifications:

Education level:

• Sophomore or later in Bachelor's degree program in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, Math or Physical Sciences.
  

Specific skills:

• Ability to analyze data and synthesize information.
  
• Formal exposure to Information and Data Technology as part of a degree program including Microsoft Access and Microsoft Excel.
  
• Excellent interpersonal skills are a critical success factor for this role.
  
• Critical thinking and analytical skills.
  
• Ability to consistently and clearly communicate verbally and in writing with a variety of audiences at their respective levels of technology understanding.
  
• Ability to work independently as well as a member of a team.
  
• Excellent planning and prioritization skills to enable consistent and timely delivery of work products.
  
• Willingness to learn and share the results of that experience with others.
