Job Summary

The Project Lead is the "voice of the customer" for our Stormwater products within our Oldcastle Infrastructure (OI) facilities. Project Lead Stormwater partners with and supports the Project Lead at the Oldcastle Infrastructure manufacturing facilities to deliver customer experience from the point of sale to on-site delivery.

Once an opportunity becomes a sales order, the Project Lead Stormwater (PL-SW) in partnership with the OI's facility Project Lead (PL) drives all activities from the point of sale to on-site delivery including coordinating with engineering, approval of submittals, scheduling with production and on-site delivery with the customer and transportation. The Project Lead Stormwater acts as the main point of contact for the Project Lead and internal customers on assigned sales orders and is directly responsible for monitoring the project lead times. The Project Lead Stormwater is directly responsible for cost accounting and delivery of stormwater internals and supports the facilities in delivering the OI customer experience through multiple other responsibilities.

Job Responsibilities

  • Primary responsibility is being the "voice of the customer" with our OI facilities in the Stormwater group within a defined territory
  • Primary Stormwater Point of Contact for the facility's Commercial Operations teams
  • Responsible for managing multiple sales orders concurrently
  • Upon sales order entry in assigned portfolio support facility PL to ensure correct technical information and prints from Stormwater, supply the estimates and confirm values for all Stormwater items, and provide demand forecasting information to support scheduling the project with production to align with "Customer Ship Date" in ERP system
  • Support PL as needed to maintain up-to-date status and data in ERP system such as customer need date
  • Provide direction and oversight to all aspects of the project team inside of the Stormwater organization; engineering, production, accounting; as well as regional support teams: supply chain and procurement
  • Prepare any applicable change order proposals in a timely manner, whether owner/ client/ engineer request or by generation from OI
  • Monitors the progress and status from the point of sales as it moves through the process, and acts to problem solve proactively, offers technical advice, and assists other staff to expedite assigned projects, removes obstacles that may cause a project to fall behind schedule
  • Ensures a mentality of continuous improvement of processes and systems including the sharing of best practices
  • Visit sites and customers as needed to provide technical support and to ensure OI customer experience expectations are satisfied
  • Working with onsite commercial operations teams and the plant manager to manage the long-term schedule to minimize conflicts with operational restrictions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 5+ years experience in Project Management or heavily cross-functional role
  • Demonstrated ability to manage several large to small, complex projects simultaneously
  • Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)
  • Ability to review and work from production schematics and engineering drawings
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Engineering or technical background
  • Experience within the construction or precast concrete industry
  • Experience with ERP and CRM systems.
