Reporting to the Assistant Dean of Learning Initiatives and Student Success, the incumbent will serve as the TRIO Student Support Services Director and oversee the federally-funded TRIO Student Support Services program and implement activities that serve students with academic and financial need. The incumbent is responsible for a range of activities to ensure the retention, good academic standing, and completion of students including educational planning, tutoring, weekly workshops, career education, financial literacy programming, and cultural experiences. Supervision is exercised over professional and clerical support staff. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess one of the following:
(A) A Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, or analyses of customer needs, program operations, marketing or customer services.
(B) The satisfactory completion of 30 credits toward a Master's degree may be substituted for each year of the experience as defined in (A).
The successful candidate will have experience implementing programmatic activities that serve students with academic and financial need. The successful candidate must possess excellent written and oral communications skills; and an ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while remaining organized. They must also have a proactive nature; exceptional judgement; and a collegial and team-oriented temperament. Proficiency in software systems including Microsoft Office applications is required. The ability to exercise discretion in handling confidential information; a strong student-centered orientation; and an ability to work with a team of diverse faculty, staff and students are essential. Experience working in a performance-based, grant-funded environment is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working with federal TRIO programs and supporting community college students is preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $79,822. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $105,944. WORK SCHEDULE: The work schedule is Monday-Friday: 9:00 am - 5:00 pm.
