Principal Purpose of Position:

  • Monitor and inform management of any delays in materials that would affect production schedules.
  • Ensure quality of products being produced/packaged (I.E packaging development, weight accuracy, quantity)
  • Monitor P.O.'s pricing accuracy and inform appropriate management of discrepancies.
  • Communicate status of work in process delays
  • Ensure all products being shipped are 100% parts completion to all customers. Communicate with customers on shortages and make necessary changes to P.O.'s as needed
  • Oversee and create reports for employee inaccuracies in production data entry and submit to management for review and employee discussions. Also to ensure employee performance at review times.
  • Oversee attendance vs. labor hours ensuring we are meeting set standards. Create reports for any inaccuracies with employees
  • Assist with work activities as necessary to maintain the flow of work in the department
  • Perform all other duties and special projects as assigned
  • Order all packaging supplies and materials needed for completion of jobs. Input information into Gantt chart schedule.
  • Input all new P.O's given into our ERP system.
  • Review monthly inventory counts and have counted to ensure accuracy. Ensure all materials are being released to jobs.
  • Work with management and product specialist to establish inventory min/max levels
  • Create all packers for all jobs being shipped
  • Close all jobs to be shipped

Education and/or Training:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong aptitude to read blueprints
  • Proficient in product development
  • Proficient in Lean production

Relevant Work Experience:
  • Understanding or brake press and punch operations
  • Understanding of packaging line systems

Planning/Organizing/Managerial Knowledge:
  • Ensure orders are being released in accordance to material availability and capacity
  • Adjust staffing hours as needed to meet demands, working with department leads
  • Monitor production and ship dates

Communicating & Influencing Skills:
  • Mentor team to grow into areas as they develop
  • Provide clear direction for daily activities
  • Provide feedback on where the facility is for efficiency and upcoming work
  • Provide constructive feedback during reviews and disciplinary actions
