We are currently seeking a Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing team in Racine, WI. As a Production Supervisor you will provide leadership to employees and support the plant's continuous improvement processes by analyzing challenges and facilitating solutions. Effective communication skills to promote teamwork and drive excellent employee relations is a must. As the Production Supervisor you will direct and coordinate the work of full-time team members to meet production schedules and achieve safety excellence as well as quality, cost, schedule, inventory and team objectives.

This position pays $59,500.00 to $80,500.00 and is overtime eligible

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for managing team of people, setting direction and deploying resources to meet or exceed daily production schedules with focus on safety, quality and on-time delivery.
  • Be a champion of Safety through consistent use of all required personal protective equipment (PPE). Consistently identify and respectfully address lack of safety compliance with team of direct reports.
  • Monitor assembly production workflows to established standard operating procedures
  • Quality and continuous improvement focused through listening to team and strong follow-up/follow-through skills.
  • Promotes positive employee relations through daily, open, direct, but respectful communications.
  • Timely completion of daily start of shift safety report outs, end of shift reports outs.
  • Demonstrate troubleshooting and problem-solving skills necessary to remain adaptable and solutions focused in a dynamic manufacturing production environment.
  • Ensures conformance with Company policies, practices and work rules related to attendance, performance, etc.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Business discipline with 1+ year of manufacturing experience OR Associates degree with 3+ or more years of manufacturing experience OR High School Diploma/GED with 5+ yrs of manufacturing experience
  • 2+ years of supervisory/team lead experience


The ideal candidate will have:
  • Be Experience with Lean Manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically including Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Working knowledge of manufacturing techniques and associated technology, methods and work standards
  • Prior experience working in a Union shop
  • Shift flexible as positions may be on 1st, 2nd or 3rd shift
