ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Dual site/plant responsibility for the following:
• Establishes and maintains information system inventory and production planning parameters including reorder points, BOM's, Routers, Item Master Data, and other required parameters to allow for full utilization of the information operating system.
• Manages raw material and WIP inventory levels in a manner to minimize working capital value, stock outs and disruptions to the production schedule.
• Works in conjunction with the site Purchasing to assure that vendor programs meet the site requirements for on hand stock, delivery time, stocking levels and economic order quantity.
• Develops and maintains a daily production schedule for a seven day per week multi shift operation including a minimum of four processing departments. This schedule should result in adequate supply to fill demand maximizing both on time deliveries and inventory turns.
• Acts as DSC's initial liaison between Demand and SCM to assure all demand requirements in line with the organizational goals are met and that all DSC manufacturing facilities comply with SCM's programs, procedures and policies.
• Ensure proper scheduling of materials for production in accordance with customer demands and equipment availability.
• Acts as the primary contact for internal customers, ensuring proper communication of product and equipment status.
• Maintain ERP system production schedules are accurate and up to date.
• Utilize capacity planning tools to effectively balance workload across multiple assets and processes.
• Manage plant planning workbenches for local manufacturing and material needed from other facilities.
• Initiates, coordinates and reconciles all cycle counts.
• Act as the point of contact for other departments and management.
• Ensure proper communication of production issues with appropriate departments.
• Direct and coordinate daily production meetings.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
