Description

Better Future Farms is a leading company in the controlled environment agriculture (CEA) industry. We are focused on using innovative technology to grow high-quality, sustainable produce year-round. We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Manager to oversee our greenhouse operations. As the Production Manager at Better Future Farms, you will manage all aspects of the production process, from planting and harvesting to packing. You will work closely with the Head Grower, General Manager, and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of our greenhouse facility.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and manage the overall production process
• Ensure compliance with food safety and quality standards
• Supervise a team of packing and greenhouse laborers and ensure productivity
• Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and distribution, to coordinate production and delivery schedules
• Implement and maintain efficient inventory management systems
• Manage inbound and outbound production shipments and coordinate supplies with vendors.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues
• Maintain accurate records of production activities and performance

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Production Manager or similar role in a greenhouse or agriculture setting
• In-depth knowledge of greenhouse operations and plant cultivation
• Strong understanding of production planning and scheduling
• Experience in managing a team and optimizing labor efficiency
• Knowledge of food safety and quality standards
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and leadership abilities
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or equivalent work experience
• Experience with greenhouse automation systems is a plus
