The Product Validation - Advanced Technologied & Innovation Intern will evaluate sensing performance on combine draper headers, Coordinate/Evaluate actuator reaction time testing for combine header systems, improved their knowledge of agricultural practices, mechanical and electrical systems, and gain knowledge of state of the art sensing technologies.
Responsibilities
- Support concept evaluation for advanced technologies group with primary focus on harvesting equipment
- Component installation, test setup/coordination, data collection, equipment operation, results documentation, and participation in concept development
- Setup and assist with evaluation of automatic header control features
- Working with both mechanical and electrical systems, including hydraulic/mechanical actuators, various sensing technologies, and wiring of electrical circuits
- Assemble mechanical parts, build wire harnesses, and follow test procedures to evaluate concepts
- Occasionally operate heavy equipment
- Gain exposure to MATLAB and SIMULINK
Qualifications
- Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Ag, or Electrical engineering
- Must have transportation to and from facility
