Position Summary

The FM Global Credit Data Technology Strategy Product Owner will have direct accountability implementation of critical Datawarehouse models, integrations, Reporting and Analytics related projects. This position will contribute to the development of the EDW methodologies and best practices for the Carlyle Credit Platform. Initially this person will define the enterprise data model in support of business analytics. He/she will drive design of data structures; reverse engineer source system structures for model sourcing and designing Conceptual / Logical / Physical models for staging and data integration; conduct model reviews with project team members; support data QA activities and work with staff to define source-to-target mappings. As the DW matures, the person will shift focus to working with clients on business needs, translating business needs into analytics/reporting requirements, and interfacing with Fund Management Team to ensure successful delivery of enterprise solutions. Duties and functions of the position included Designing, prototyping, developing, and handing off the Technology Team new service offerings related to Credit Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Proven track record in defining and driving data strategies.
  • Assist with the analysis of platform processes and capabilities and the ongoing development of a technology strategy.
  • Experience with fund accounting platforms and data extraction (Geneva experience is needed)
  • Knowledge of financial instruments such as Bank Loans, Derivatives, Bonds, etc.
  • Experience with security data set (Bloomberg, Rating Agencies, etc.)
  • Development of new data warehouse and integration frameworks focused on firm-wide initiatives
  • Assist Carlyle IT in implementing data management best practices (data consistency, reliability, and integrity) and framework for Carlyle IT.
  • Mentor team members on best practices, process improvement and data management discipline in order to improve effectiveness and skills of resources.
  • Manage and support enterprise data systems and maintain documentation of current and future state environments (ongoing)
  • Demonstrate ability to lead and prioritize deliver of multiple projects on-time and within budget.
  • Adept at listening and soliciting feedback from end-users and stakeholders of Credit Data Warehouse
  • Detailed and Process oriented.
  • Experience with capital markets data sets and various performance measures (IRR, ROE, Yield, etc.)

Qualifications

Education & Certificates

  • Bachelors degree, required
  • Concentration in Computer Science or similar discipline, strongly preferred

Professional Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience with enterprise system implementation, required
  • Cloud platforms, specifically Snowflake preferred.
  • Strong Support the development of new data warehouse and integration frameworks focused on firm-wide initiatives
  • Capable of leading a team of internal and external support resources
  • Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills to implement best practices and design principles.

Competencies & Attributes

  • Ability to transform business requirements into scalable, robust physical designs of data concepts through requirements analysis and interfacing with system stakeholders
  • 10+ years of hands-on experience with database set up, sizing, administration and/or architecting experience in a SQLServer environment
  • Snowflake development a strong requirement
  • Ability to grasp data concepts and understand complex data models a plus

Benefits/Compensation

The compensation range for this role is specific to New York City and takes into account a wide range of factors including but not limited to the skill sets required/preferred; prior experience and training; licenses and/or certifications.

The anticipated base salary range for this role is $190,00 to $210,000.

In addition to the base salary, the hired professional will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package spanning retirement benefits, health insurance, life insurance and disability, paid time off, paid holidays, family planning benefits and various wellness programs. Additionally, the hired professional may also be eligible to participate in an annual discretionary incentive program, the award of which will be dependent on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
