ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB:

  • Develop ball bearing, roller bearing, and sleeve bearing products.
  • Innovate and implement industry-leading technologies that can be incorporated into mounted bearing products and/or processes.
  • Contribute significantly to successful project results in technology and/or product development by identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative solutions.
  • Create tools that can improve efficiencies throughout the product design process.
  • Ensure all testing is validated and recorded.
  • Support changes to existing products.
  • Identify and communicate industry trends and demands to business team.
  • Lead and train new engineers.
  • Lead and support cost reduction activities.
  • Project management.
  • Use unique technical knowledge to oversee development tasks.
  • The ideal candidate must be highly motivated, disciplined and able to perform effectively against clearly defined goals and objectives that directly contribute to profitable growth in the organization.
Requirements:

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering AND 5 years of engineering experience OR
Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering AND 2 years of engineering experience

*A Master’s Degree in required field = Credit given for 2 years of work experience.
*A PhD/Doctorate in required field = Credit given for 3 years of work experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

5+ years’ experience in Application Engineering and/or Product Development Engineering

Mounted bearing experience

Experience in the design, testing and application of dynamic sealing systems

Experience in the design and application of shaft attachment methods

Proven history of creativity applied towards design challenges

Excellent project management skills

Advanced written and oral communication skills

Entrepreneurial spirit

Lean Six Sigma Green Belt methodology and certification

Exceptional analytical, communication and leadership skills

Highly collaborative, results oriented change agent

Ability to work in USA without Visa assistance

Strong analytic skills with an emphasis on critical thinking, root cause analysis, and problem solving

Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Dodge Mechanical, Inc. in the US
