What You'll Do
We are seeking a Product Developer, Softgoods, for the Armada Brand. This role is a key point of contact between our design team, Director of Product and manufacturing teams. This role helps to implement the creative, innovative, sustainable, and compelling products that exceed the needs of the Armada Athletes and customers. In this central role you will maintain the PLM systems to ensure line-plans, BOM's, colors, size-grading and other product attributes are accurately documented and conveyed to our manufacturers. The Product Developer will also assist with the Development of line strategy and profitability of the category, working with the objectives and values defined by the Director of Product. Specific duties may include: • Develop all softgoods articles on-time within our PLM software (Centric) according to the product development calendar• Maintain Design/tech pack information, BOM's, construction standards, fit specifications and other product details within PLM software• Review factory prototypes to ensure design, measurements and construction are being met. Provide feedback to PD / Designer and factories with findings in reviewing prototypes.• Implement seasonal color palette with inputs from team• Assist in coordinating all approval for lab dips, print strikes and trims/labels as needed• Work closely with product team and design to ensure all styles deliver on- cost and feasibility. • Works directly with the factories to support product development and communicates findings with team • Attend relevant industry tradeshows and sourcing/trend shows, and travel internationally for factory visits as needed• Assist with presentations and discussions with global sales teams, marketing teams and key dealers to gather insights that inform product and line development.• Support marketing and sales departments in the commercialization process and product launch • Organize and analyze feedback from global sales and marketing teams to inform future development and product offerings What We're Looking For
This role requires a bachelors degree in business, science or related field. We are looking for a candidate with experience in technical outerwear and apparel design and/or development; as well as product manufacturing knowhow and experience buying, selling or managing product lines. Other qualifications:

  • Detail oriented & highly focused on completing deliverables on-time
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate workload demands, communicate project status appropriately, and maintain a high level of operational transparency and accountability
  • Knowledge of garment design, construction and production, including grading, technical applications and materials
  • Strong hands-on problem solving, organization and communication skills. Self-motivated team player with ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and can work on multiple projects efficiently
  • Output orientation: A proactive and organized individual with clear communication to other groups within the company
  • Knowledge of sustainable design in the softgoods industry. Desire to produce a product that is better for our world's future through material selection, leveraging partners, and pushing what is possible with vendors.
  • Sense of customer service: Understand and integrate the needs of internal/external clients, in order to respond adequately in line with the interest of the company
  • Ability to work as a team member and to collaborate: Promote information sharing and team spirit, contributing to collective efficiency
  • Professional commitment: Demonstrate passion and personal investment in order to develop best-in-class products
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop), and Product Line Mgmt Software
  • Snow sports background, consumer goods manufacturing is strongly preferred
  • Comfortable with international travel and on-site visits to production facilities
