Position Summary

Position: Product Data Management DCA Specialist

Location: Seneca Falls, NY

Summary: The Product Data Management DCA Specialist is responsible for system part loading of components, Machining routings, part structures, and Quality requirements required to meet shipment and operations objectives. Process to include quoting external vendors, to structure and address issues concerning products to maximize effective cost, quality, and to maximize efficiency. Provide direct Manufacturing and Customer Service support through part quotation and loading of new parts to the ERP business system. To include as required, purchased parts, make part machining routings and product structures.
Essential Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Loading of both new manufactured and purchased parts including serialized parts into the ERP system.
  • Revise, update and maintain existing parts, structures, and routings.
  • Accurately implement QA requirements to parts.
  • Quote updated cost and list prices to Customer Service.
  • Proactively drive suppliers for on time quote responsiveness.
  • Drive timely part, set up and changes to support new part, pump production, and spares.
  • Maintain Material Master Data utilizing ERP business systems.
  • Maintain Data integrity with specific emphasis on buy part vendor cost, delivery, and make parts routings, and structures.
  • Implement supply chain strategies for vendor selections, while verifying the completeness and accuracy of the product structures.
  • Factory Order Change Processing (FOCN) and Engineering Change Processing (ECN).
  • Create and update Work Centers.
  • Create and maintain standard work and procedures.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement improvements.
  • Interface with Contract Administrators, Contract Engineers, Product Engineers, Designers, and Factory personnel.

Position Requirements

Requirements:
  • AS/AAS, Technical Degree or equivalent experience is required
  • Manufacturing operations experience, such as machining, fabrication, foundry, or materials experience is required
  • SAP experience is preferred
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Precise problem solving and decision making capability.
  • Knowledge of engineering processes and terms preferred.
  • Experience monitoring, tracking and continually improving processes (lean methodologies).
  • Excellent communication skills - written and verbal.
  • Strong data analysis capability with attention to detail.
  • Ability to read drawings and specifications and apply to part set up.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels within the organization and work with multiple projects.
  • Concern for quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to read and understand shop and customer drawings.
  • Ability to multi-task in fast paced, deadline oriented environment required.
  • Customer focused (internal/external).
