Principal Software Engineer at TSI

TSI is reimagining their business and customer experience by delivering game changing digital solutions across a variety of market segments. TSI is using leading-edge technologies on a SaaS platform and the Internet of Things (IoT) to solve complex problems.

The teams are using modern web stack technologies including JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SCSS on the Google Cloud Platform with Mongo dB, Kubernetes, microservices, Golang and many more services.

What You'll Do:

  • Write code to deliver elegant and scalable solutions
  • Demand quality-developing in a test-driven manner with automation in mind
  • Collaborate-partnering well with a diverse and passionate team
  • Learn-adapting quickly to an evolving market and emerging trends
  • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios
  • Continuously improve software engineering practices
  • Work within and across Agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across a full stack of development tools and technologies
  • Lead the craftsmanship, availability, resilience, and scalability of your solutions
  • Bring a passion to stay on top of tech trends, experiment with and learn new technologies
  • Participate in internal & external technology communities
  • Encourage innovation, implementation of emerging technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversity
  • People leadership / supervising a team (3-5 software engineers)
    • Coach and mentor team members
  • Consider the organization's entire infrastructure when making changes and improvements

What You'll Need
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 10 years of software development experience in object-oriented programming and design patterns
  • Demonstrated experience with deploying multiple products to market
  • Experience with JavaScript, HTML5 & CSS3/SCSS or similar tech stack
  • Experience with one or more modern Web frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue)
  • Database experience in SQL and NOSQL databases
  • Cloud experience in one of the major platforms (i.e., Google, AWS, Azure)
  • Experience in a mature DevOps environment
  • Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Jenkins or similar tools
  • Experience with SOLID principles
  • Unit testing and E2E testing experience
  • Agile experience
  • Willing and excited to learn new technologies
