The LTL Transactional Team is a dedicated team that focuses on the growth and development of CHR's Transactional LTL Pricing products. This team supports the CHR network's transactional portfolios and recommend tools and sell strategies for capturing market share and maximizing yield. Transactional sells are directly influenced by LTL Carrier "General Pricing" and therefore this team will also support carrier guidance tools, techniques and impact reporting.

Our main priority continues to be the health and safety of our employees. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this position will be remote until further notice. We will continue monitoring the circumstances and when we feel comfortable, this position will return to the office in Kansas City where you will have an opportunity to collaborate face-to-face with a talented and diverse group of peers.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintains corporate controlled transactional pricing settings and taxes
  • Develops Yield Management strategies and best practices, specifically for transactional priced customers
  • Leverages quote data to identify opportunities for Customer pricing adjustments
  • Routinely communicates to internal stakeholders with transparency to ongoing pricing adjustments
  • Leverages quote data to predict impact of Carrier pricing adjustments
  • Provides Carrier Capacity Management team with tools and insights that strengthen negotiation techniques
  • Partner with Data Science and broader organization to advance pricing tools and techniques

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI and SQL

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred 2 years' experience in pricing or closely related field
  • Strong working knowledge of LTL pricing, carrier base rates, fuel surcharges, accessorial and rules
  • Strong organizational skills with proven ability to multi-task several projects/initiatives and deliver results against hard deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal, facilitation and consulting skills. Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at the various levels in the organization
