Summary

Summary

Under general supervision, performs lubrication and coolant change duties for all required equipment and helps maintain the preventive maintenance tasks for the buildings, manufacturing areas, and grounds. This is an introductory role into manufacturing maintenance.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each of the following essential duties satisfactorily:

  • Must be a proactive Safety Champion and follow all documented safety policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the installation, repair and maintenance equipment and machines.
  • Proactively use the maintenance tracking system to manage preventive maintenance and lubrication programs.
  • Maintain records of repairs, calibrations, and tests.
  • Participate in first aid, CPR/QRT and hazardous material spill clean-up.
  • General building maintenance duties including mechanical, plumbing, electrical power wiring, infrastructure upkeep and maintaining equipment preventative maintenance programs.
  • Keep tools and work area in a clean and orderly condition.
  • All other duties as deemed necessary including overtime and some weekend work, when needed.


Job Requirements
Education and Experience Requirements

The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary:
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a maintenance-related role is required.
  • An Associate's Degree in a maintenance-related field or an equivalent degree is highly desired, but not required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and basic knowledge of arithmetic; use of decimals, fractions, gauges or measuring instruments.
  • Must be able to read and work to blue-prints and work instructions.
  • Ability to be certified to drive a fork truck and operate overhead cranes and hoists.
  • Ability to be certified as a first responder.
  • Welding experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong technical background is required to troubleshoot systems, machinery, test equipment.
  • Must be motivated, self-directed, and be able to work well in a team environment.

Physical demands-the physical demands of the job, including bending, sitting, lifting up to fifty (50) pounds and driving.

Work environment- Indoor/outdoor work to include inclement weather, working at heights and on ladders, and occasional exposure to noise above 65 decibels.
