Job Description Summary
Maintains safe work practices at all times and participates in safety programs.
Assists mechanics in performing maintenance work, repair and adjustments of processing equipment; changes and replaces belts, sprockets, bearing, chains, motors, pumps, etc., and performs building repairs.
Administers and documents line checks and preventive maintenance (PM), including lubrication and inspection of equipment to prevent or identify failures.
Perform and document troubleshooting, removal, installation, disassemble, removal, installation, disassemble, repair and assembly of plant equipment and systems.
Coordinates, directs, and performs non-routine maintenance activities assigned by the maintenance or production supervisor, and will perform emergency repairs with a minimum of supervision.
Must understand and use the approved lockout procedure.
Experience with various shop equipment. (i.e.., presses, mills, breaks, lathes, drills, saws etc.)
Experience rebuilding pumps and laser lining equipment
Performs structurally sound welds and acceptable cutting using appropriate cutting and welding equipment.

Job Qualifications

MAINTENANCE - LEVEL C
  • Demonstrates proper use of power tools (tool room provided). Use of drills, impacts, grinders, tachometers, calipers, hilti drills, strobe light, pipe threader, also including proper use of all hand tools required by provided list.
  • Demonstrates proper housekeeping continuously to insure safe and clean conditions in all areas of his/her responsibilities.
  • Demonstrates and complies with all Lockout/Tag out Policy and procedures.
  • Acquires within 60 shifts of job assignment, ownership of the proper tools for the job. List provided by process maintenance lead and/or Plant leadership
  • Identifies and explains potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed.
  • Basic SAP skills (log in to check daily work).
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of mild steel welding with Mig, Arc.
  • Possess good mathematical skills.
  • Maintain all responsibilities pertaining to Level C.
  • Describes line flow from receiving to entrance of the freeze tunnel
  • Complete the Richland New Hire Training Module
