Position Description :The Forensic Anthropology Center at Texas State University invites applications for a postdoctoral scholar to join a multidisciplinary team on our National Institute of Justice funded project entitled "Forensic Fire Death Investigation: Investigating the Effects of Body Mass and Decomposition Sequency on Fire Burn Speed and Patterns and the Development of Performance Standards."
The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary research team to investigate how time, temperature, fire environment, body mass, and decomposition contribute to the observed differences in burn patterns and skeletal destruction in structural and vehicle fires. The candidate will also aid in developing and validating detailed training aids and performance standards.
The position will require self-direction, excellent organizational skills, the ability to oversee and manage data collection and to work effectively with graduate students, faculty, and other professionals.
