Description

Increase velocity and accelerate depletion and profit performance of the portfolio by relentlessly achieving distribution, visibility and activation in High Image accounts. Manage the luxury wine and spirits portfolio exclusively within an approved list of accounts in a specific trade channel. Develop strong relationships with the key decision maker(s) within the targeted list of accounts. Present Brands, Products and marketing concepts for placement in the target accounts and strive to obtain all brand distribution, placement and depletion KPIs within the target account list. Ensure portfolio is the leading supplier in terms of effectiveness and impact within targeted accounts in your designated marketing area.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop relationships within high image accounts to achieve maximum distribution across the portfolio, particularly higher marques
  • Impact the back bar, wine list, cocktail menu, bottle service menu, and or the dessert/after dinner drink menu
  • Achieve branded placement objectives for BTG menus (Champagnes & Wines) and as well as Cocktail Menu placements for our spirit Brands in the on-premise
  • Ensure pricing for Brands are executed in-line with strategies
  • Ensure National Account placements (NACs) are executed as directed
  • Place POSM where appropriate
  • Increase velocity of sales within targeted accounts through successful implementation of brand and portfolio initiatives
  • Provide staff training on new placements as well as increase sales of existing products as directed and as needed
  • Train Reps., Managers and account personnel on the portfolio
  • Achieve inclusion of MH Brands in target account marketing activity & events
  • Conduct consumer tastings (formal and informal), winemaker dinners, Brand promotions and experiential events
  • Within each targeted account, the PS's will be the lead account contact on behalf of the portfolio Brands. Nevertheless, successful PS's will need to liaise effectively and communicate efficiently


Requirements

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office Programs
  • Superior wine & spirits knowledge
  • Knowledge of On and Off Premise Pricing Models
  • Ability to use Sales Analysis Tool (program advisor)
  • Ability to use basic budgeting methods
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Mathematical proficiency

Education/Experience/Trainings:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • College degree or equivalent work experience/training/education preferred
  • Five plus years in the wine/spirits business
  • Massachusetts Driver's License and Registration

Physical Demands and Environment:
  • Occasional physical exertion including the regular lifting of objects weighing up to 25 pounds and the occasional lifting of objects weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Work requires frequent standing or walking throughout the work day
  • Work requires a significant level of mental concentration required to manage multiple complex tasks requiring continual mental and visual focus
  • Work requires travel and exposure to weather conditions while visiting customers, prospects or vendors
  • Potential for accidents due to over the road travel including traffic accidents, delivery of goods or the set up of displays
