Summary: Provides knowledge, skills and experience to maintain plant equipment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

Install, maintain and dismantle machines and mechanical equipment

Install and maintain heating and air conditioning systems, piping/plumbing and ventilation systems

MIG, TIG & stick welding for fabrication and repair

Perform pipefitting of air, water and gas lines as needed

Perform painting, repairs, carpentry as needed

Reads blueprints and schematic drawings for hydralic, mechanical and pneumatic equipment

Moves machinery and equipment.

Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, conveyors, and tram rails.

Aligns machines and equipment.

Operates engine lathe to grind, file, and turn machine parts to dimensional specifications.

Repairs and lubricates machines and equipment.

Maintain, troubleshoot and repair plant auxiliary equipment (boiler, chiller, compressors, air dryer, cooling tower, vacuum pump)

Perform required checks and troubleshoot issues with fire suppression system

Other duties and responsibilities as directed.

HS diploma/GED required, as well as a minimum of 3-5 years manufacturing experience. Maintenance experience, including production and auxiliary equipment, required.
