Reporting to the Finance Director, the Plant Controller oversees and directs supervision of all day-to-day accounting and financial activities. The primary responsibilities include month end financial close, monthly forecasting, establishing & monitoring internal controls, and business partnering with the Site VP/GM.

You Will Have the Opportunity to:

  • Lead the finance function for the Westford plant and be a key member and decision maker of the management staff
  • Proactively utilize business partnership skills to move the plant to better cost understanding and higher profitability
  • Analyze and report on key plant operational and accounting metrics. Present plant financial performance in various forums as required. Lead financial awareness and understanding among plant employees by hosting various training opportunities
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of relevant accounting activities, including month end close, period reporting, fixed asset management, inventory valuation, product costing, budgeting, forecasting, and overall asset and liability control
  • Implement and ensure business adherence to internal finance controls including data and reporting standards and compliance (Sarbanes Oxley regulations, internal and external audits)
  • Design and implement programs, processes, and procedures to reduce cycle time and enhance decision making in support of the achievement of corporate, function, and business goals and objectives
  • Provide plant staff timely variations to forecast and mitigation options before period close
  • Support engineering in identifying and calculating cost reduction implications for various projects/initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree with specialization in accounting or finance required, bachelor degree plus master's degree with specialization in accounting or finance preferred
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in the accounting field, holding roles with increasing responsibility and scope
  • Experience driving cost savings initiatives
  • Ability and willingness to spend time on production floor; learn and understand manufacturing processes and products, fundamental understanding on plant and product costs
  • Ability to take on various ad-hoc responsibilities as required

This position requires the eligibility to obtain a security clearance. Non-US citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. For individuals to be considered for a security clearance, the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA), conducts personnel security background investigations for the Department of Defense and other federal agencies.

The selection of the person to be hired for this position is contingent on the candidate having export compliance eligibility for access to U.S. controlled technology which comes under the licensing jurisdiction of the U.S. Department of State, International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the U.S. Department of Commerce, Export Administration Regulations (EAR).
