Job Duties:

• The Planning Manager is accountable for managing the site-based elements of Astra-Zeneca global supply chains. It has both supply execution and tactical planning responsibilities, with local planning focusing on securely managing the short to mid-term plan within the framework of the optimal global long-term product supply plan, which will have been developed with their input. Leading role in SAP development and implementation on site. Critical member in integration of AZ Lean ways of working including procedures and processes. Planning manager will be responsible for the handover of the production plan from the Global Network Team to the site.
• This role function is part of Supply and Logistics within Coppell Operations. The role will require being aligned to the PET (Process Execution Team) functions including API manufacturing. This role will be a leader in the integration of the Coppell site into the AZ ways of working including all planning processes and procedures. This role will also be a leader in the development and implementation of the SAP system into operations and planning while working with the Global Planning and Supply Chain.
• Provides key supply chain knowledge to PET leadership teams. Collaborates with PET leadership teams to secure a mid to long term strategic supply plan, balancing cost, inventory and customer service target.
• Adheres to the AZ Code of Conduct and key global policies such as the Global Environmental, Health & Safety Policy, Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption Policy and People Policy.
• Responsible for the hand-over of the production plan from the Global Network Team to the site, assuring a robust Pre-S&OP in place with clear roles and responsibilities and documents to register risk and opportunities.

Minimum Qualifications

• University degree with orientation around planning/supply chain - or a college
• degree combined with good job experience around supply chain planning.
• Expert in SAP / APO and Excel
• Excellent communication skills.

• Must have excellent planning, organization,
• problem solving, negotiating, and decision
• making skills.
• Demonstrated record of good communication

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical skills and experience related to pharmaceutical manufacturing operations is a plus.
• Factory Physics knowledge is preferred.
