We are seeking a Planner with extensive knowledge of aircraft production, drawing interpretation, and industry standard practices. What to look forward to:
As a Planner, you will be using your skills and expertise to convey aircraft drawings and design intent into process plans and work tickets. You'll be responsible for monitoring production activity to ensure a smooth and controlled flow of required steps timed and sequenced to meet our production requirements. You'll troubleshoot potential scheduling problems, provide solutions, and interpret design intent into real world instructions used by the production floor.

Responsibilities:

  • Interpret Engineering drawings and assign sequence for optimal production levels
  • Evaluate drawings for quality, timeliness and author process plans according to goals
  • Monitor drawing release and identify any shortages or bottlenecks
  • Identify and resolve problems relating to lack of technical information
  • Address issues regarding quality and production
  • Produce reports based on findings and performance of production
  • Manage deadlines based on project expectations

Must-haves:

  • Real world, hands-on experience in interpreting complex aviation drawings and specifications
  • Good understanding of the industry terminology and practices
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time-management skills
  • Strong regard for product quality and safety standards
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous and diligent
  • Able to sit, stand and move around for long hours at a time

Preferred:

  • Hands-on experience in aviation production preferred

This position requires current/active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance. Estimated Starting Salary Range: $46,000.00 - $63,250.00
