Description

Humana acquired majority (51%) stake in Prime West on April 2, 2021. Humana's acquisition of Prime West expands access to quality, in-network medical care in Las Vegas and Henderson, Nevada by providing a management organization to serve network physicians.

Prime West builds on Humana's existing value-based care arrangement, designed to improve patient health outcomes and the overall patient experience

The Physician Strategy Lead responsible for setting and implementing strategy for internal and external physician groups. The Physician Strategy Lead works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.

Responsibilities

The Physician Strategy Lead increases engagement and interactions. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.

Additional Description:

• Primary Care physician practice recruitment
• Negotiating and managing provider contracting
• Develop and grow long term provider relationships
• Coordinate marketing and assist with practice branding
• Organize wellness events and other patient facing activities
• Influence and guide physician practice with financial and quality performance
• Understand specialty network and assist with contracting, direction and understanding utilization
• Assist Provider Engagement staff and Medical Coders with Health Plan information and quality metrics
• Influence strategy

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 7+ years of provider contracting experience, provider relations and network management.
• Value Based contracting experience or ACO/Risk management oversight
• Planning, preparation and presenting skills
• Ability to analyze and interpret financial trends
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's Degree
