Compensation: $17.37 Hourly
Responsible for the collection, specimen testing and documentation of bodily fluid samples for the purpose of aiding in the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of disease. Maintain maintenance on laboratory equipment and ensure that the lab meets and provides all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities include:
• Regular exposure to blood and/or body fluids
• Regular exposure to biohazard waste materials
• Operating vehicles or machinery
High School/GED required
• At least two (2) years’ experience required
• Ability to draw blood on pediatric through geriatric patients
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures and equipment
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Certified Medical Assistant or Phlebotomy Certificate required; Demonstrated experience of 3+ years in phlebotomy in lieu of certificate
ASCP Certification preferred
