Job Description:

Position Summary:

This role is responsible to support the picking, packing, and shipping of the eCommerce operation. Assist in fulfillment of all grocery orders, ensuring that orders are picked and shipped within the customer expected lead times. At this time, the position can only offer 2 days/week from 10a-6p (15 hours/week). The hours are nonnegotiable, since that's when we get the bulk of our orders.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Follow eCommerce process for receiving customer's online grocery orders and efficiently fulfilling orders.
  • Review customer comments/special instructions, as applicable, to ensure product selected matched customer's requests; follow up on issues as necessary (i.e., product substitutions, etc.)
  • Properly handle all items in a customer's order to ensure the highest quality, specifically perishables and delicate items, during selection of items and packing of products to minimize damage and to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Scan order products, confirm products priced by the pound (i.e., produce, deli, and meat/seafood) and substituted items
  • Report customer issues, shorts, overages, damages to leadership immediately
  • Responsible to provide focused and effective customer service. Implement the Company service program(s) and model high standards of service to achieve positive customer satisfaction
  • Stocking merchandise
  • Stage completed orders in proper temperature-controlled locations
  • Load completed orders according to the correct delivery route in a safe manner
  • In downtime, you'd help support the front end - on the customer service desk, bagging groceries, covering self-check out, blowing up balloons, grabbing carts from outside, etc.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed

Here's what you'll need:
  • High School Diploma or GED (Preferred)
  • One year - retail, warehouse or other related experience preferred.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Good organization, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of products and store layout for efficient picking procedures.
  • Ability to complete daily workload with limited supervision

Physical Requirements:

May be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds frequently, and up to 50 pounds occasionally. The associate is required to stand and walk for extended periods of time and may bend, stoop, twist and turn frequently. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is subject to a typical retail store environment (varied temperatures) and is exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate. Travel requirements vary by assignment.
