RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Performance Engineer in Irving, TX.Key Tasks:

• Installation, configuration, and day-to-day tasks associated with ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the application run time environment
• Do advanced troubleshooting of moderately complex software applications and solve complex problems utilizing industry standard tools
• Work with the development staff to determine operational requirements for test/production environments
• Do configuration, deployment, and operational support of production/dr/staging environments for multiple applications
• Keep current with emerging software enhancements, security patches and bug fixes
• Monitor application server performance and respond appropriately
• Monitor systems capacity and performance through APM (application perf monitoring) tools
• Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures and provide Tier 1-2 technical support
• Be highly flexible in hours of work because of the mission critical nature of the apps being supported

REQUIREMENTS:

• B.S. Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering; M.S. preferred
• 3+ years of experience in production/application support
• Experience with supporting salesforce applications
• Experience with at least 1 log monitoring tool (Splunk, ELK, etc.), and at least 1 APM tool (CA-APM, AppDynamics, New Relic, Catchpoint)
• AssureOne (Federos/Monolith) or other Network Management System experience
• Experience with Network Management tools and event message formats, such as SNMPv3 Traps, SYSLOG, and Log-Files
• Strong experience with working on UNIX Command Line
• Good working knowledge of WebLogic, MQ, Java, Jenkins, Shell-scripting, JIRA, Confluence
• Strong troubleshooting skills, strong shell scripting/Perl skills
• Excellent analytical skills, problem-solver mindset, go-getter attitude with attention to detail (must for production environment)
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills (verbal and written)
