Responsibilities

Summary: This position is responsible for preparing and processing payroll accurately and in a timely manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Process payroll for all paygroups as required on a weekly basis.
  • Provide an excellent level of customer service by ensuring that all store/ops/DSM emails are handled in a timely manner.
  • Process all direct deposit form, paycard requests, garnishments order and tax change requests.
  • Prepare management reports, various spreadsheets and import files as required.
  • Ensure proper coding for all taxing jurisdictions weekly.
  • Research and identify all new taxing jurisdictions for new store locations as needed. Prepare locality tax returns as required.

Education and/or Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. This includes Microsoft Office.

  • Strong ability to maintain confidentiality
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Basic knowledge of Accounting and Math
  • Knowledge of Payroll taxes
  • Ability to handle stress of deadlines
  • Ability to multi task and quickly change to new priorities.
