Job Description

MV Transportation is seeking a Passenger Support Manager who will manage the Paratransit certification, re-certification and travel training with all passengers. The Passenger Support Manager will provide applications, assessments and classroom/field training to new passengers and current passengers in route planning/mapping, service area familiarization, emergency procedures and mobile application use. Additionally, this position will work with local community agencies to discuss and build passenger ridership for the division.

Job Responsibilities:

Certification and Re-certification

  • Establish and maintain certification/re-certification logs and files for all passengers
  • Schedule and perform customer interviews and assessment to determine eligibility for the services offered by the division
  • Administer the application process and financial/doctor form verification needed for certification
  • Ensure all required paperwork and documentation is complete before certification
Training of Customers
  • Perform classroom with instruction passengers which meets or exceeds MV requirements
  • Create, implement, and maintain effective outreach and training schedules with local municipalities and community-based organizations
  • Perform skills course training as necessary
  • Perform observation and cadet training behind the wheel as necessary
  • Maintain all training records and paperwork for passengers using the service
  • Ongoing customer and certification training as needed to ensure the success of new passengers
Talent Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Clean driving record and a current driver's license for a minimum of three (3) years
  • Excellent customer service and experience working one-on-one with individuals
  • Obtain and maintain a current DOT physical
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with groups and community organizations in the local area
  • Working knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet software
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to create and maintain filling system for passengers
  • Able to work independently and as a self-starter in building new relationships
  • One (1) year of classroom training experience preferred
