Department Information
Parking Operations oversees the issuance of parking permits, enforcement of parking regulations and maintenance, and funding of all or new campus parking lots and garages. Parking interacts daily with students, faculty and staff, departments, vendors, visitors, and the community as they conduct activity on the IU Bloomington campus. Job Summary
Department Specific Responsibilities
- May assist the maintenance lead on routine duties such as sweeping, painting and other routine duties.
- Assist permit holders at a campus parking garage.
- Provide parking information and give directions.
QualificationsEDUCATION / WORK EXPERIENCE
Required- High school diploma or GED.
SKILLS
Required
- Ability to learn and explain the parking rules and regulations.
- Ability to complete credit card processing tutorial and Security Awareness Education modules in an online training environment.
- Ability to effectively communicate and exchange information.

Working Conditions / DemandsThis role requires the ability to remain in a stationary position as well as the ability to move about campus or long durations. It requires effective communication. Must be able to move up to 20 pounds. The role requires the ability to ascend/descend ladders/stairs, to position one's self in low level positions. The person in this role must be able to perform the essential functions with or without an accommodation.
Work LocationBloomington, Indiana
Work HoursMonday through Friday with flexible hours between 7am to 7pm.
Seasonal work with anticipated end date August 12, 2022.
