The Packaging Coordinator directs the activities of the Line Leaders, Associates, and/or the Technicians in the inspection and packaging process. Position entails ensuringpackaging projects are started and executed in a clear, precise and timely fashion. Ensures accuracy and efficient packaging of inventory after it has gone through quality inspection. This is a 2nd shift position.

  • Coordinate the daily routine of the packaging and inspection areas.
  • Efficiently assign jobs to personnel throughout the shift.
  • Track employee paid time off and employee attendance.
  • Adjust schedule daily to accommodate absences.
  • Maintain Line Leader and Associate job assignment to efficiently utilize available personnel.
  • Maintain a professional, motivated team of packaging personnel.
  • Insure GMP training requirements are completed on time.
  • Assist in insuring packaging lines are properly purged.
  • Insure all required documentation is completed on the lines and in inspection areas.
  • Maintain a safe department and complete accident reports as required.
  • Analyze packaging to assist in determining the most efficient schedule.
  • Supervise Line Leaders and Associates in producing a quality product in an efficient manner.
  • Review, update, and write SOP's as required.
  • Maintain a positive attitude toward change and motivate subordinates to accept change.
  • Review packaging procedures and provide efficiency improvement ideas.
  • Assist in the execution of machine and product qualifications.
  • Insure all components are ready for the scheduled packaging run.
  • Track SOP training requirements and ensure all Associates are trained on assigned jobs.
  • Track SOP's in the books, update and replace as needed.
  • Responsible for controlled substance access, including open and closing of vaults, ensure forms are available and current.
  • Enters all purchase requests for facility, including supplies and parts,


Qualifications
  • A.A. degree and/or 10 years' experience in a pharmaceutical environment.
  • Prior leadership experience.
