Job Description

Primary Function of Position:

As a part of Intuitive's HR Organizational Design & Change Management COE, a hybrid Organizational Design (OD) & Change Management (CM) Specialist position will be deployed aside resources that focus on either OD or CM. As a member of a diverse and dynamic team that supports business transformations in both HR and across the company. The successful candidate will be a driving force behind the effective design activation of new organizational constructs, programs, systems, and/or processes. This position will combine consultative support to internal clients as they execute a wide range of organizational and process-oriented initiatives as well as understand business challenges resulting change and mitigate risk through clear messaging, stakeholder management, employee enablement, and change readiness efforts. The successful candidate will also bring a clear understanding of the HR function and the various sub-functions within. Additionally, the OD/CM Specialist will monitor adoption and measure success of various change interventions. Working in close partnership with stakeholders and HR Business Leaders, he/she will support the assessment, design, development, activation, and measurement of comprehensive organizational and/or change plans.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Change Management

  • Play a leadership role in the definition, development and sustainment of the new Change Management COE within Intuitive.
  • Provide change management expertise to ensure new programs, process, and tools are adopted successfully and meets the needs of the business and our stakeholders.
  • Leverage change practice tools and methodologies to:
  • Support the translation of strategic direction and business objectives into holistic change strategies
  • Gather information, build action plans, and engage employees in design and development of plans and execute
  • Monitor progress, identifying issues and celebrating successes and supporting continuous improvement of change implemented
  • Provide leadership and facilitation for change management interventions and forums to ensure alignment across various stakeholders and project teams.
  • Continuously identify leading practices to develop and apply tools, techniques and approaches to managing change throughout various levels of the organization and business.
  • Build change management capability in others - educate HR professionals, business leaders and project leaders on change management methods and the application of change management best practices and tools.
  • Provide direct support of the HR Transformation project currently underway as well as "business as usual" projects and initiatives led by the HR function.
  • Provide direct support and/or quality assurance for change management needs outside the HR function.
  • Support the build out and maintenance of dashboards and reports needed.

Organizational Design

  • Self-starter that can work both as a member of the broader COE team as well as an independent consultant on projects.
  • Able to interface with all levels of the organization as well as establish credibility as an expert and trusted partner - with particular focus on executive relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills are essential with the ability to evaluate business issues and needs and convert them into actional change interventions.
  • Effective articulation, facilitation, and influencing skills in order to drive organizational recommendations at all levels.
  • Ability to design/develop tools and frameworks which will build-up OD capabilities in others and provide coaching and advisement expertise on the application of organizational design best practices.
  • Ability to interface with a wide range of levels across the organization.
  • Experience translating practical experience into standardized frameworks and methodologies which will contribute to the COE development and creation of an Organizational Design Community of Practice.
  • Serve as an interface to external consultants who may be providing OD consulting services within Intuitive.
  • Continuously identify leading practices to develop and apply tools, techniques, and approaches to organizational needs throughout the business.

Qualifications

Skills

  • Experience participating in and/or leading large-scale organizational design and change initiatives.
  • Strong business acumen with a keen attention to detail (both what is said and what is not).
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Influencer, negotiator, and team player that can easily build trust and strong relationships with peers, teams, and key stakeholders at all levels of the business.
  • Ability to view and analyze projects from a program owner perspective as well as the business/end user perspective to identify and act upon change option which will enable success.
  • Highly competent in facilitating meetings with multiple functional areas, with the ability to drive deep conversations, alignment, and/or quick decision making.
  • Ability to break down problem statements into actionable activities to progress program and transformation.
  • Ability to exercise discretion, sound judgment, objectivity with the highest professional ethics, and always maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven experience working in a matrixed environment with various teams and connecting back to a centralized center of expertise to drive consistency and alignment.
  • Proven ability to successfully work in a hybrid environment.
  • Proven ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and activities.
  • Desire and ability to work as an individual contributor as well as part of a team.
  • Effective analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills - with a data-driven ability to assess challenges and synthesize key insights.
  • Accomplished organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectives.
  • Ability to "connect the dots" across the business and/or projects.

Experience, Education, & Training:

  • Minimum BA/BS degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field (Masters degree preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience with at least 5 years supporting/leading change management or organizational design projects.
  • CM certification or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience working in the consulting industry is a plus, preferably for a large global consulting company.
  • Experience working within a Project Management Office is a plus, not required.
  • Experience in HR COE and/or business function is a plus, not required.
