The Operator, Machine Automation monitors work areas to ensure the workplace is safe and all automation machinery is maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety. This position ensures product changeovers are performed with minimal downtime in a safe and accurate manner. Also, this role identifies process improvements at every opportunity

  • Daily Production Setup
  • Power up the following automation equipment for daily production
  • DLL disassembly machine
  • DLL fill machine
  • DLL re-assembly machine
  • Perform startup test by observing the overall mechanical operation to ensure all automation machines are fully operational
  • Stock all raw material which is consumed in the automation equipment
  • Troubleshoot operational errors on automation equipment
  • Observe performance of the blade cleaning scraper and replace as needed Observe consumable materials and replace as needed
  • Clear machine jams by temporarily stopping the machine, opening safety doors, and removing obstructed material
  • Respond to automation machine error alarms and resolve the issue as quickly as possible and restart the machine with minimum production downtime
  • Assist maintenance staff as needed to repair mechanical breakdown
  • End of shift shutdown
  • Power down machine, open safety doors and clean equipment using the vacuum system
  • Remove all unnecessary material in preparation for next operational shift

Requirements:

-Education

  • High School Diploma (or G.E.D.)

-Experience

  • Minimum 3 years Working as an assembler in a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum 1 year Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing front line issues with manufacturing automation machines

- Software/Technical Skills

  • Ability to diagnose front line issues with manufacturing automation machines

-Other Skills/Knowledge/Abilities

  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Fast learner and self motivated
  • Ability to work independently
