The Operations Training Intern will assist the Operations Training Specialists in training of Operations personnel. The Operations Training Intern will learn to apply the fundamentals of workplace training theory. They will take part in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of GMP technical training material including OJT's, classroom, and e-learning for Sterile Operations. They will understand and assist with the training schedule, curricula assignments in LMS, and evaluating training effectiveness. They will help support onboarding, qualification, re-qualification, re-training, performance improvement and development of Operations employees.

Key Responsibilities

  • Apply general adult learning theories as they assist in delivering training solutions that are directly aligned with cGMP requirements
  • Works in a team environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals.
  • Demonstrates effective oral and written communication skills in order to relay information and generate necessary documents for the job function aimed at the intended audience.
  • Provide training support based on departmental workloads
  • Read, comprehend and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and On-the-Job Training (OJT) instruction documents.
  • Work with department members in small groups or one-on-one as needed
  • Ensure compliance to Good Documentation Practices
  • Additional duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited Adult Learning & Development undergraduate or graduate program
  • Strong Academic Performance
  • Ability to understand, and work with, regulatory requirements such as 21CFR part 210 and 211, cGMP's, FDA, OSHA, EPA and other regulatory agencies.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • Interest in pursuing a career in the Pharmaceutical Industry

Physical Requirements of the Role

Position is exposed to plant environment. This role is continuously sitting and typing. Frequently talking and using eye and hand coordination. Occasionally requiring lifting and carrying less than 20 lbs. Standing, walking, bending over, and repetitive use of legs are done occasionally.
