We are currently seeking a Strategic Operations Resource to be located in our Hawkins, TX location and report to the Operations Manager. The Strategic Operations Resource will be responsible for planning and managing the day-to-day allocation of resources (equipment, people, materials, and systems) in order to efficiently, safely and cost effectively achieve performance targets as agreed with Production Management.

Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Ensure that a high quality of products, services, housekeeping and hygiene standards are maintained and improved in the area
  • Review daily achievement of targets and report variances during on-the-floor and review meetings
  • Coach, mentor and develop team members to meet current and future business requirements
  • Prioritize, schedule, and ensure team training plans are executed to maximize AWG efficiency (Competency Skill Matrix)
  • Review daily AWG training effectiveness with Line Leaders and Team members to identify opportunities for improvement (Leverage TPM Standard Routines)
  • Member of the E&T pillar to continuously improve the onboarding and skill validation process
  • Ensure the development and implementation of action plans to address root causes of failures and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Facilitate seamless handoffs and communicate key information to peers, team members and Production Management
  • Understand internal and external regulations, procedures & policies and apply them fairly and consistently to manage operator performance
  • Manage relationships with internal customers and suppliers, colleagues and support services to ensure achievement of targets

Key Qualification include:

  • Three to five years of experience in a Leadership capacity of large organization with line ownership required
  • Understanding of processes & mechanics of line equipment
  • Excellent problem-solving ability
  • Demonstrated use of TPM methodologies
  • Work process improvement
  • PC Skills including MS excel and Word
  • Familiarity with quality and hygiene regulation
  • Cost awareness of operations
  • Ability to multi-task and delegate
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to manage and develop employees
  • Fluent English language written and oral
  • High School Diploma or GED
