The Graduate Studies Office of Admission seeks an Operations Assistant to join our team. Reporting to the Director of Systems and Operations, the successful candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, an analytical mind, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. The position's primary responsibilities involve processing application materials for prospective students. This includes database management in both Colleague and Slate, troubleshooting and problem resolution, and processing from other outside systems as appropriate. This position will also assist with details related to the coordination of standard communication flow to prospective students, their parents/guardians, and select outside audiences.

Major Responsibilities:

• Process student application materials, i.e. transcripts, letters of recommendation, test scores, school reports, etc.
• Accurately enter data from source documents in a timely manner
• Review data for deficiencies or errors; correct when needed
• Coordination of communications to prospective students, i.e. letters, emails, postcards, etc.
• Contribute to the team by assisting internal staff as needed
• Maintain data integrity by following established processes and procedures
• Create and execute various database queries
• Provide administrative support to the Director, as needed
• Supervise student assistants when needed

• Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge and Skills:

• High School graduate, College/University degree, or experience in a university setting is preferred
• Excellent communication skills, an understanding of higher education processes, and a friendly, positive, and outgoing manner are needed
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, the internet, and email systems
• Deep understanding of and experience with data systems required
• Attention to detail and strong organization skills are necessary
• Flexibility and composure are essential, as is the ability to be an active member of a team, working with a variety of people, and managing multiple tasks simultaneously
• Valid Driver's License

The results of the record check will be evaluated by the University before an applicant can become an employee of the University.
