SUMMARY

The Human Resources Coordinator will coordinate and follow up on activities by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential job duties and responsibilities for this position include the following:
Human Resources

  • Monitors work hours of employees for payroll reporting
  • Processes new hire paperwork
  • Processes background checks
  • Performs E-Verify checks (verify employment eligibility)
  • Coordinates Pre-Employment Drug testing
  • Maintains SFO Database of employee information
  • Submits New Hire documentation to Corporate
  • Training (new hire orientation) and scheduling of training (on Policies & Procedures and Safety)
  • Assists new employees and existing employees in completing ID Security Badge Forms and Customs forms.
  • Assists new employees in qualifying for ADP Tax Credit
  • Conducts New Hire Sexual Harassment Avoidance Training
  • Maintains up-to-date leave and medical records
  • Processes and informs Corporate Office of terminations
  • Obtains enrollment/waiver benefits forms from eligible employees and assists employees with completing forms. Submits completed forms to Corporate for processing
  • Process payroll: collects and processes data for labor hours, vacation, sick, holiday etc..
  • ADP (Audit in/out punches, prep for LPA call, and audit hours for payroll processing)
  • Submits payroll to Corporate for processing
  • Processes Personnel Action Change forms for employee status changes (change in pay, supervisor, title, address/name change, etc.)
  • Submits Direct Deposit forms to Corporate
  • Performs signatory functions as prescribed in “ID Badging Practices and Regulations Handbook”
  • Other duties as assigned
  • This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS
An individual must be able to perform each Essential Duty satisfactorily to perform this job successfully. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability required.


Education and Experience:


  • One year certificate from college or technical school; or one year up to and including three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum age of eighteen (18)
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations:
  • Valid State Driver’s License
  • Certified Human Resources Professional (PHRCA, PHR or SPHR) desirable


Required Skills/Abilities:

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
REASONING ABILITY:
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
  • Knowledge of the State Labor Code
  • Familiarity with OSHA requirements
  • Data entry skills
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • May occasionally be asked to run local errands.
  • Security Clearance, (for airport security purposes) pass a 10-year background screening.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee must be able to operate a personal computer/laptop and cell phone for approximately eight (8) hours per day. They will also be required to spend extended time reviewing both physical and electronic documents. The employee will spend most of the time in an indoor environment.
