Occupational & Environmental Safety
First Shift (United States of America)
Serves as the program leader for multiple organization safety programs, e.g. Emergency Preparedness (EP) Hazardous Drug Safety, Lab Safety, Facilities Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Safe Patient Handling, and department-level safety programs; responsible for adhering to strict compliance standards imposed by The Joint Commission (TJC) and the National Institute of Health/Centers for Disease Control in the areas of occupational and environment safety.
Required Education and Experience
1. Doctorate degree in a relevant field and the equivalent of one (1) year of full-time professional work experience in a safety related capacity; or
2. Master's degree in a relevant field and the equivalent of three (3) years of full-time professional work experience in a safety related capacity.
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
The Preferred candidate's experience will include:
-Five years of safety experience
-One year in a safety leadership role
-Development and maintenance of safety or compliance related databases
-Work experience in healthcare, research, and/or hazardous waste
-A demonstrated history of Program Development
