Work Schedule:

This position may involve teaching in either an on-campus classroom, lab environment or simulation environment on the ECC main campus. Hours may vary based on program need.

Rate of Pay:

Rate for 2022 is $49.81

Job Summary:

Nursing lab instructor provide instruction aligned with the college's strategic goals and evaluate students' progress to facilitate achievement of their educational goals.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

A master's degree or higher in nursing.
Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois.
A minimum of two years of current experience in clinical nursing practice.

Desired Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Skills lab and/or simulation experience
Broad experience using various types of healthcare technology

Essential Duties:

1. Assist students to achieve proficiency in performance of nursing skills through teaching, demonstration, and evaluation.
2. Evaluate student's performance of nursing skills through on-campus validations.
3. Facilitate simulations across the nursing curriculum.
4. Evaluate student progress:
a. Keep accurate record of student performance
b. Provide students with timely feedback
5. Provide student assistance as needed
