Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Tubular Group has an opening for the role of District Sales Manager within our TX/LA territory. The role of the District Sales Manager consists of, but is not limited to the following:
- Providing industry leading service
- Developing a rapport with customers
- Prospecting for new business
- Operating as a liaison between customers and Nucor operations
- Forecasting
- Proactive Problem Solving to help the team achieve revenue, shipment, and profitability goals.
This position will require extensive travel and face to face interaction with all customers.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3 years Sales or Marketing experience in the steel industry
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Extensive knowledge of steel tubing or other structural steel products and markets
- 4 - Year degree in Business, Marketing, or related field
